New developments on astate 211 thanks to the productions realized by Arronax.

The chemistry of astatine, a rare and radioactive chemical element, is still unknown. In their work published in the journal Nature Chemistry, researchers from CEISAM laboratories (CNRS/Université de Nantes) and SUBATECH (CNRS/IMT Atlantique/Université de Nantes) have highlighted the astate’s ability to form spectacular interactions by halogen bonding.
A property that could have implications in the field of nuclear medicine, particularly for the treatment of cancers.
